Phil Lang
Phil Lang, 23, was born and raised in Roseville, MN.. The youngest of
Jim and Monica Lang's six children, he fell in love with baseball at an
early age and played the saxophone through high school because his mom
wanted him to do so. As was the case with MacGyver star Richard Dean
Anderson, Phil attended Roseville High School. In May, 2004, Lang
graduated from Augustana College (Sioux Falls, South Dakota) with
B.A.'s in English and Secondary Education. While at Augustana, Lang
lived in the Moontower for two years, a four bedroom house with a
rodent problem (Lang recorded two confirmed mice kills by way of the
oven). Upon graduating, Lang moved out to San Francisco, where he is
now a student in the University of San Francisco M.F.A. creative
writing program. "Fork" is the beginning chapters of his first novel,
The Summer Dave Randall becomes a Man. Other short stories by Phil Lang
can be found in The Venture, Augustana College's annual literary
magazine, but he does not recommend reading them.
